The night's star-studded performances and red carpet couture were plentiful, but the awards show was where the majority of the OMG moments occurred.
Lainey Wilson took the lead with six nominations prior to the start of the ceremony, including Female Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year.
Before the presentation, she told E! News, "If there was one nominee that could be the most special or the one I hold to a really high standard,
I would say Album of the Year." "Being a boy or girl is irrelevant in only one of the categories. Everything is a win, from the writers to the producers."
Shane McAnally, Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce, and Chris Stapleton, who each got five nominations, were not far behind in the contest for the most nominations.
