SpaceX Starlink brings high-speed internet to Amazon schools

Schools in the Amazon region are receiving Starlink high-speed internet service from SpaceX.

Brazilian Minister of Communications Fabio Faria recently tweeted an update regarding the use of Starlink and SpaceX in nearby schools.

Faria shared a brief video with Elon Musk in May 2022. The two indicated that discussions about Starlink service are still taking place between SpaceX and the Brazilian government.

Faria posted a picture of pupils using Starlink's internet network to communicate with SpaceX CEO Elon Musk.

Musk responded to Minister Faria's tweet by highlighting the value of education and the importance of internet access in the lives of people.

Elon Musk stated that "education is the route out of poverty and Internet access allows education."

Currently, SpaceX is discussing Starlink services in the Republic of Zambia with government representatives there.

Starlink services, according to the Special Assistant to the President of the Republic of Zambia, would strengthen the nation's position in the digital economy.
