American unveils snazzy new business and premium economy cabins at the expense of first class

New business-class and premium economy cabins were unveiled by the Fort Worth-based airline on Tuesday.

These cabins will make their debut in 2024 on recently delivered Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A321XLR aircraft.

In addition, the airline will add new items to two of its most expensive aircraft at

the price of first class on those that already have business class.

The launch of an entirely new business-class offering for American is the main story.

Beginning in 2024, the carrier will begin adding private suites to the front cabin of all brand-new 787-9 Dreamliners.

These so-called Flagship Suites will be arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration and feature direct aisle access for each passenger.

Additionally, each seat will feature a privacy door, a lounge seating option and expanded personal space.

It appears that there will be a privacy divider between the center seats, too.
